Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I actually use a different technic nowadays, was thinking about doing a new Tut, but that's so much work....

I would like insist on the fact that using the pen Tool is not a too good idea, too impersonal.
And, i will never insist enough to the fact that vectors are more efficient when they are simple i believe, but simple is way difficult to do.
In the end, practice as much as you can, don't put pressure on yourself, just have fun and draw as much as you can.
It pays.
